Foundations of Human Development in the Social Environment Paper

When looking at the foundations of human development in the social environment, there are several areas to examine. One area to start with would be to take a glance at the interactions between the bio-psycho-social dimensions of development. From there we can move onto the concept of human diversity and cultural competence, and finally explain the connection between general systems theory and social order.

Be sure to indent the first line of each paragraph between five and seven spaces by pressing the Tab key one time on the keyboard. In addition, remember to double space the entire paper using the double space functionality in Word. This template is already formatted for double spacing. In addition, keep in mind an academic essay should contain at least five paragraphs, which includes the introduction (introductory paragraph), the body (which is generally at least 3 paragraphs), and the conclusion (generally one paragraph). Most well-developed paragraphs contain at least 3-5 sentences, one of which is the topic sentence. Limit each body paragraph to one sub-topic.

According to Bennett, Briggs & Triola (2009), descriptive statistics transforms data into a picture of information that is readily understandable using measures such as mean, median, mode, variation and standard deviation. Inferential statistics help researchers decide whether their outcomes are a result of factors planned within design of the study or determined by chance referencing probability values (P) to indicate significance of the change in results (Bennett, Briggs & Triola, 2009). “The two approaches are often used sequentially in that first, data are described with descriptive statistics, and then additional statistical manipulations are done to make inferences about the likelihood that the outcome was due to chance through inferential statistics” (Streiner & Norman, 1996).…

Human development consists of three dimensions: biological, psychological, and social development. These three aspects of human development interact together to create an individual’s identity and personality. The biological dimensions of an individual affect their ability to interact with the world physically. If an individual has a genetic disability like a birth defect that affects their mobility, for example, it is a challenge to interact with their environment on a personal level unless the individual has help from another or from tools of aid for mobility. The psychological dimensions of an individual affect an individual’s perception of the world around them. An individual’s psychological state determines how a person can function within society and how they view their environment. The social dimensions of an individual affect how that individual interacts with other individuals in their environment. These three aspects work together to influence who an individual is and who that individual will become.…

    Bronfenbrenner Analysis

Urie Bronfenbrenner (1917–2005), a developmental theorist, proposes development does not occur in a vacuum, but may take several different paths depending on the environmental framework in which it occurs. Understanding the numerous factors that influence human development is the key to knowing oneself and contributing optimally in helping activities with others. Important aspects of human development can be understood within the context of a system of relationships and corresponding environmental influences. Bronfenbrenner proposed the ecological systems theory to help explain the manner in which the relationships among environmental variables influence developmental behavior (Crandell, Crandell, & Vander Zanden, 2012). This paper will attempt to analyze Bronfenbrenner's theory of development. It will also look at how his levels of influence helped to shape my development and discuss how this theory has influenced me as far as making decisions about my education and career.…
