selling drugs inside and outside her home. She was selling narcotics inside her home and sold cocaine and heroin to an undercover cop. She was transporting them to Dubois Pennsylvania. She was stopped by a traffic stop and they uncovered bags of heroin and cocaine. She was charged for this. Well during the time she was doing this she was collecting assistance
because she claimed she didn’t have an income. Well what kicked the welfare fraud case into motion? She had received a 50 thousand dollar check in the mail from an insurance company. She didn’t report it to the welfare office. Well they got a report that she had gotten this money well the office of the inspector general went out and investigated it. They had gotten a copy of the check that she received that’s how the charges got filed against her. I was sitting through the court hearing. The office of the inspector general auditor of the area who takes the cases to court presented the case so well and professional to the magistrate judge. When he told the magistrate that the woman received the check. I just shook my head and rolled my eyes. I never been so disgusted with people in my life the crazy and uncalled for things people do with our tax dollars. All that woman had to do was report it to her case worker and offered to pay back with she got which it was little over 4 grand she had received in assistance. She could have paid that back with her getting a check for 50 grand she could have paid that back very easily but she chose not to. Sometimes decisions we make sometimes aren’t very good on our behalf and its bad judgment on our behalf. Well if the woman would of did what she was suppose to she would of never gotten into this mess it would of never came down to this. Now more than likely she won’t be able to get any benefits from the government again or nothing perhaps for a very long time or for years due to her silly decision she made. What didn’t help make matters any better is she didn’t even show up for the court hearing at all. Now there’s a bench warrant out for her arrest she knew she had to come to this the first class summons was sent out to her and it wasn’t returned but the certified mail she didn’t pick it up or nothing so she knew but chose not to deal with it. She’s now running from the law her case was sent to Brookville where she’s going to get more charges probation or jail time added to her other charges. People don’t realize when you run from the law is going to catch up to you sooner or later and that just made the case a whole lot worst than what it already is. I thanked the judge for letting me sit through this hearing it was interesting to do job shadowing and getting to hear this case.
