They say that they risked losing their jobs at all times. If they did not meet their sales numbers which were completely unrealistic sales targets then that was the end of the road. They claimed that this type of pressure defined working for Wells Fargo. This pressure is what directly led to the fraudulent opening of accounts. So, since the bank’s goals were unrealistic, there was no other way to make sales targets and as a result, the company’s goals and strategies became vulnerable to complete corruption. Another problem that the Wells Fargo faces is that executives at the top set goals thinking of their personal goals instead of involving employees. The preliminary solutions for these issues would have been for Wells Fargo to get together with employees and make them feel like their goals are more meaningful. You cannot pressure employees as was the case here and not expect them to take the path of corruption. Another solution would be to hold more of the management accountable and remove them from their
