The first fundamental difference I found between the West and East religions is the numbers of God the followers believe. Western religions such as Christianity and Islam believe that there is only one God while Eastern religions range from polytheistic to atheistic. For example, Hinduism worships many deities and avatars, and Shinto worships deities, called Kami.
The second difference is in the way people worship their God or Gods. For Western religions, people usually worship together at a specific place and time like Christians going to Church every Sunday.
