What Am I Grateful For Analysis
What am I grateful for? By: Madison Carter What am I grateful for? So much. How can I not be grateful for everything that I have been given in life? I Have to be. Throughout the thirteen years of my life i've never had to worry. I've never had to worry about having a bed to sleep in or a roof over my head, and for those two things I must be grateful. I always have a warm house to come home to, clean sheets to sleep in, and books to read if I want. I take advantage of them but, don't we all? I know I must appreciate these things, for some people don't even know of these simple luxuries we take for granted.

Time to leave the place where we obtain most of our knowledge. Time to leave a place, some kids are fighting to get to, dying to get to. I think we take advantage of our school the most. School has always felt like a safe place for me. Yes, sometimes I hate it, but, I know I need it. Its has always been a place where you can leave what is going on at home, at home, and where you can pretend and feel like for a while, everything is just fine. I would say that I think that I take advantage of school most but, I don't. If anything I appreciate school most. Needless to say, i'm gonna miss it.
So what am I grateful for? Everything. I am grateful for the bed I sleep in, the food I eat, the family I have, and all the other important things. I am especially grateful to my dog, whom I immensely love. I'm even grateful for the minor things. Things like the smell of candles and the feel of pajamas. I am so thankful for the things that I need so much. The things that make me who I am. Things like music and books and friends and the taste of coffee. Things that are so important to me. Im grateful for them all. I am grateful to all the blessings I have been granted. I am Grateful for life. I am so

"Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy." Matthew 5:7. Whether they give it or receive it, people will always need mercy. Love is a prerequisite of mercy. Forgiveness connects people in ways that might benefit all concerned because if people can forgive each other for their mistakes, they offer mercy to each other. Trust results from showing mercy. If people can trust one another, then they can show mercy in different aspects of other people's lives. Mrs. Luella in "Thank you Ma'am" and Sherlock Holmes in "The Blue Carbuncle" both give mercy to someone they did not even know because they overflow with love, forgiveness, and trust.…

The Shakespearean comedy, Much Ado about Nothing encompasses themes such as the importance of honour, the ideal of social grace, nevertheless uses a plot which primarily revolves around the theme of deception re occurring in various forms. On one hand deception is used throughout Much Ado About Nothing in a malicious manner, however on the on the hand it can be portrayed in a benevolent and beneficial manner such as the fooling of Beatrice and Benedick and deceiving them into proclaiming their love for each other. The use of both forms of deception often makes it difficult to distinguish between the two, such as when Claudio announces his desire to woo Hero, however Don Pedro takes it upon himself to woo her for Claudio. However Shakespeare’s use of deception is neither completely a means of malice nor a mean of showing traits of kindness between characters, the use of deception aids the development of the plot and creates a path for other elements necessary in the play such as its comical elements.…

This award from the KPMG Future Leaders Program will help me achieve my goals not only by supplying me with financial assistance to pay for college but also by allowing me to interact with strong, success women who have experience and insight into a male-driven field. It is seldom that a young woman like myself has the opportunity to further their knowledge of business and communications, and gets to learn that information from strong female leaders. My goals and aspirations stretch far beyond my current skills, and I hope that an award from the KPMG Future Leaders Program will allow me to grow the skills I need to continue on to be a leader to those around me. Going into my freshman year of college with a mentor counseling and teaching me the skill sets required to succeed in my field and to prosper at NYU next year, would be an extraordinary privilege and honor. Woman have always been major contributors to society, despite being shoved down and oppressed on too many occasions and in too many ways. It has always amazed me that despite being oppressed, women have always remained true to their strength and have paved the way for other intellectual, career driven women to prosper in the modern…

The Lord is a very generous and loving God. We, as followers and believers of Christ, should be thankful for everything He does. Many people in the world are not thankful for all the things the Lord does for them. They tend to complain about their life and worry about what they do not have rather than think about all the things they are privileged to have. People worry too much about who has the best phone, or car, or house, etc. and they do not focus on what is really important, which is their relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. It is very easy to think of all the things we do not have and be unthankful. We can be jealous and covetous. But the hard thing to do is to remember to thank God for everything He has provided for us and for the wonderful life that He has given us.…

For many people, math is a dreaded subject due to it being difficult to understand. Through Geoffrey Colvin and his article, “What It Takes to Be Great”, it has been explained that anyone can become great at anything through the concept of deliberate practice. Deliberate practice is doing activities which help improve a person’s performance and has specific goals meant to improve the person’s abilities. It also is an “…activity that’s explicitly intended to improve performance, that reaches for objectives just beyond one’s level of competence, provides feedback on results and involves high levels of repetition…” (Colvin, 10). In math, it takes understanding the concepts to do well; you can memorize, but eventually memorization won’t help. Anyone can improve in this subject and become a straight-A student through studying and understanding material. You can become a straight-A student using this method by learning the content and making sure you get it, understanding the reasoning behind ideas, using connections to deepen understanding, and…

Situations can change very quickly, especially within a healthcare facility. The nursing staff within a nursing home carries the responsibility of always watching and monitoring the environment to assure the residents are comfortable and cared for in the home. The ethical problem in “Please Don’t Let Me Die” case is malpractice. The nursing staff neglected to care for a patient noticeably in need and continually asking for help. Additionally, the three registered nursed were negligent. The two nurses found culpable in Loren Richard’s death had not successfully overseen the nursing staff to assure the team was following the standard of care. Regardless to the state of the floor prior to the three nurses taking a break, the registered nurses are responsible for the coverage of the floor and care for the patients for the duration of their break. If I had been one of the three registered nurses I would have been mindful of my responsibility and would have scheduled the breaks at different times to assure at least one registered nurse was present on the floor at all times. Additionally, I would have responded to Loren Richard’s cries for help and helped him get the necessary treatment.…
