In The Truman Show, the director Peter Weir uses various film techniques to have effect on the audience and make them feel different emotions. The film techniques that he uses are camera angles, music and sound and lighting.

The major technique that is used in this film is camera angles. Throughout the film there are various camera angles, the main shots that Weir uses are angled, tilted shots to show that there are hidden cameras filming Truman. When Truman is driving in his car the camera is tilted and placed at a particular angle, this is showing that the camera is hidden in the car radio.
