Romeo was desperate to get out of his depressed state of mind and his emotion were rendering his judgment but he was still eager to find some sort of light at the end of his deep dark tunnel. Emotional maturity is a skill that neither Romeo or Juliet posses yet. They do not understand what it takes to really make a relationship work because both are too young and both have never been in a serious and committed relationship.Since they are both immature (mostly Romeo) they do not understand what marriage really is. Sure it seems as if nothing could go wrong when Romeo and Juliet are having an adult like conversation but they do not comprehend that they must stick by each other through thick and thin and that they can not just break up, they will have to get a divorce which could not only affect them, but also the people around them. This could have been a real problem for Romeo because once he saw that new flash of beauty, he would be attracted instantly. Romeo has apparently loved every girl he has ever set eyes on like Rosaline for example (friar lawrence quote about romeo loving rosaline.) He has always switched from girl to girl and has said that he loved every one of them especially Rosaline. We all believed him when he acted like he was depressed and emo but all of the sudden he switched back to being normal Romeo when he saw Juliet’s looks, he had never even talked to her. Not only has Juliet not been in a committed relationship but she is 13 and is too young to comprehend love and how Romeo can manipulate her.
