In Hotel Rwanda, Paul also has a conflict with many people in the movie such as one of his workers, Gregoire. Gregoire, a Hutu, didn’t “like the smell of cockroaches” and during the genocide used this opportunity to go against Paul since Paul, also Hutu, was protecting both Hutu and Tutsi. Okonkwo’s conflict became influenced due to his hatred towards his deceased father, Unoka, a lazy man that owed everyone a big sum of money and the fact that he didn't seem to show any emotion nor care for the emotion of those around him. That led to his son disowning him and join the ministry. For Paul, his conflict leads Gregoire telling the Interahamwe Militias of their plan to escape.
