Many people of different religions from the past to this very day had been terrifically discriminated. It didn’t matter if they were innocent or hadn’t done anything to prove themselves guilty, but they were still judged by many reasons. However, these reasons were based on their physical characteristics, for example, the race they were or their gender. Malala was a girl so in Swat, that meant staying inside to help the mom do chores like cook or take care of the children. That also included as a norm for girls to not have an education, making a big problem, especially for Malala. They had fought for justice and did what they could to show others that discrimination, racism or sexism, was wrong. Malala, a young girl too young to die, was told to step back and step away from speaking out as her family were too afraid the Taliban would target her, but she continued to fight for her rights. In Malala’s Memoir, she says “We can’t disown our campaign!... How could I refuse, saying there was a security problem? We couldn’t do that, especially not as proud pashtuns (page 225).” This shows how much she wanted to motivate the world to take part in challenges people faced and to speak up, not only for education of girls, but their own rights too. It didn’t matter if you die because of it, at least you and everybody else knew you died as a good cause, a fighter. Just like Malala Yousafzai, Anne Frank spoke out for her own rights too. In an attempt to live on, even after she died, she had succeeded and passed down her good, positive spirit for world peace.
