Afghanistan War 2001-2014
The war was fought in three different phases. The first was taking down the Taliban. The second was fighting back against the Taliban army and rebuilding Afghanistan into being a better place. And the final third phase was when Obama decided to send more of our own troops to protect people from Taliban attacks. This war raged on for 13 years, and henceforth it became the longest war the US has ever taken part of.

In 2002, he was chosen to receive the Nobel Peace Prize for his work with the Carter Center. (Although I personally find that a ridiculous reason for him to be awarded such a prestigious thing. This is the tragic event of four terrorist attacks made by a group called al-Qaeda, or so they say. Many conspiracy theorist believe the attacks were all planned by our government. 2,996 people were sadly killed in this incident, 17 of them were the hijackers and the rest were innocent American citizens. Whether this was planned by the radical terrorist group or by our own government, this day is one of the worst days of our country’s history and we cannot let this happen again.
