What Compassion Means To Me
What does compassion really mean to me? It means to show empathy to someone who is hurt or who got their feelings hurt. Like, Elie Wiesel, Elie was a Holocaust survivor. He cared for everyone. Compassion meant a lot to him because no one showed compassion. Compassion means to me too, show love to someone like Elie Wiesel did. Also, to show kindness towards others, even if they don’t deserve it. That’s what compassion means to me! The Nazi’s and Hitler showed no compassion during the Holocaust. Elie Wiesel is trying to teach us that compassion is important. Compassion isn’t a human right, but it’s the right thing to do. I've helped a food drive by giving food to it before. Also, to help people in the world who need food People in this world are starving with no food at all A food drive would help them to be able to eat. Not many kids understand that people in this world are poor, and can’t afford to buy food. Other people won’t give food. Who is a sad thing. So you should always show compassion. Compassion isn’t a human right but, it’s the right thing to do. In my opinion, it could be a right but, it’s not. Even though compassion isn’t a human right. You should still show compassion because I don’t think anyone wants to be mean. Also, you wouldn’t want to make someone feel bad about themselves. In some ways, compassion could be considered a human right. But, in some ways you wouldn’t consider it a human right. The Holocaust was a very depressing time. Hitler was a very very crooked person. He killed over 6 million jews. He killed them because he didn’t like their religion. He tricked them into the gas chamber too. But, Hitler knew what he was doing! After, he tricked them into the gas chamber where they would die in less than 2 minutes. That includes Woman, children babies and men. Hitler wasn’t working alone though. The Nazi’s were his helpers. They barged into people’s houses and grabbed the jews. Finally, people changed that. They showed compassion to one
