I learned that I had to be calm and focused while playing basketball and not let my emotions get in the way of the game. This has made me a better player because when I am clear minded I can focus on the player I'm guarding or the shot I'm about to take. Basketball is not the only place where people can get angry and aggressive, I see it all the time at school. People can overreact and let their emotions get in the way. Maybe during a game, I notice that my dribbling is very good but when I go in for a right-hand layup it doesn't go in. It's important to notice what you're good at and what needs work. On the average basketball team there's anywhere from 9 to 12 players, so say you are not very good at left-hand layups, there's a good chance someone else on your team is. This is very important because you can take advantage of your player's strengths during a game and place them where they can best use that
