What Does Jesus Take The Wheel Mean

Reflection: “Jesus Take the Wheel” Using the article's title as a metaphor, how can we allow Christ to be a stronger presence in our lives? Give examples of how you as a teenager can do this.
In the article “Jesus Take the Wheel”, it explains how all of us people tend to think that this world isn't so much God's kingdom, but rather ours. God has a plan for each and every one of us, but sometimes we all feel the need to try and take matter in our own hands. We want to live life the way we want to, but we don't all get what we want. Every person's life comes with complications, and from the outside they may look perfect, but the truth of the matter is, is that nobody is perfect.
The title
of the article can't be taken literally, but it has to be taken figuratively. Many of us try to force things upon ourselves instead of letting God show us the things we should be doing. We need to have total faith in God and trust the fact that he really will guide us in the right path. Prayer works, but not right away. Not every single one of your prayers will be answered right away, and some not at all; because of this people tend to blame God, which is why they want to take control of their own lives instead of feeling betrayed by God.
Teenagers especially feel like this because we're so young and just want every thing to go the right way. For Christ to be a stronger presence in our lives we have to put our trust into him. “Remember, God loves you and always wants what's best for you. Let him take control. After all, it is His kingdom that is coming” (Jesus Take the Wheel). Although things always don't go the way we plan, they do go the way God planned. Keeping certain things in our prayers regularly allows God to hear our prayers and work on them.
As teenagers, being open to witnessing that God is trying to influence our lives for the better is a key thing. Reading the Bible seems like the answer for everything, but for this it could actually help. Throughout the Bible it explains how this is not only God's kingdom, but it shows the works that he has done for many people. It could open the eyes of many young adults to keep patient and let Christ take control of certain aspects of our lives.
