Religion has no simple definition but can be related to spirituality. It is part of religious ideas and practices which goes on changing. Religion counts soul to the highest adventure of human spirit. As there are many religions, we cannot understand religions that are not our own. Religion keeps our mind away from dullness, making fresh insights. It is emotion or feeling of final need on something or infinity. It is a general term and spirituality with specific practices. There is no single answer sufficient for defining it. Every day work is related or dependent upon the religion and spiritual belief. Moreover, study of religion helps in growing our understanding and knowledge of human practices.
Reflection:
What does the word Religion mean to me? The word religion itself is a vast concept regarding beliefs of people. It is a wider area of study where one has much place to describe. Everyone is following a particular religious belief. It is the idea to make a person follow something till his/her death. It provides idea and knowledge to survive life. Each of the religion follows different practice. But the main idea of every …show more content…
religion is to make life better.
Every religion has an abstract point to which they believe and spend their whole life following prescribed rules.
There is a certain practice for every religion to follow. Every follower follows it in each and every step of their life. Like, child birth rituals, death rituals, marriage rituals, etc. Similarly, customs and tradition in each religion might be different but the main idea is to make life successful. Religion is a word that is the rule followed by people of certain area for their entire life. The people of each religion have a particular something i.e. GOD. There is a holy book to be practices to live life. They wear dresses according to their religion. There are separate days for the worship of god. Thus, in my view, Religion is a word for defining the belief of someone to an abstract thing for continuing their
life.
Would I ever consider changing my religion? Why or why not? In this regard, my upbringing was done by following a religion. And I am used to it. There are many things that I do which are totally affected by the custom of my religion but I might be unaware of that. My behavior is also the product of my religion. Every rule I follow is the result of my belief towards something. So, in regard of the topic to change my religion, I don’t think that I will be able to adopt new concept erasing my old belief. It had already become my principle of life. But I am not in the oppose of someone adopting new religion. It is their preference. People are able to do so. It might be the wrong perceptions of their previous tradition helping them to adopt new religion readily.
Discussion:
But I usually wonder that, How can someone from a different background can cope up to a totally new idea and practice it for their life? Wont they ever regret their decision? Wont they miss their religion?
