What Happened In The Bible
In the Bible, there are many stories and events that take place. Most people in the world believe that these are just stories or myths from ancient times. Christians believe that these are more than just tales; they believe that that the Bible is fact. The majority of people in the world who have had an education believe that a major flood happened that have shaped the world into what it is today. The evidence of the flood can prove that the biblical story is indeed fact.

In Genesis, God explains how a flood occurred because of the evil in the world. God was protecting His people by having a “new start”. The flood lasted for over a year, destroying people, animals, and the geography of the world. The flood reshaped the earth, creating new landforms and continents.

How did the world get shaped? That is a question that people, no matter what their age or intelligence, ask all over the world. What happened? People are curious, they want to know the history of the earth and explore into science. …show more content…
Ham stated that there are two different kinds of science: observational science and historical science. He said that observational science is observing the world for the way it is; and he said that historical science attempts to understand the world that came before this one. Observers from the ancient world is the only way we can know the truth about the earth’s history, and those witnesses told us through the Word of God. Nye stated that observational and historical science are the same things. "When make assumptions, they're making assumptions based on previous experience," he argued. "Why should we accept your word for it that natural law changed 3,000 years ago and we have no record of it?" Nye asked, explaining that "there are human traditions that go back farther than that."     I was raised believing that the Bible was fact and was to be treated as such. That the individuals that wrote the Bible were in fact guided by God and therefore speaking the truth. I, however, find myself believing that the Bible is a very well written story depicting the behavior that the authors thought was appropriate for society during that time. I have difficulty believing that there was divine intervention in the writing of the Bible. The Christian worldview states that human problems are due to the fall of man in the Garden of Eden and have basically continued since that time. My belief is more that human problems stem from biological, mental, and physical complications and again have very little to do with a divine event. The solutions to human problems can only be fixed because of a change in the biological, mental, and physical world. I have little faith that believing in God and praying to him is all that is required to fix problems. I think more human, not divine, involvement is necessary to see real change. The Christian worldview would have you believe that the human purpose is to worship God, and worship all that he has given you.
