A daughter’s life is shaped by her relationship with her mother, and Antoinette’s life was definitely shaped by her mother. Antoinette’s problems in life can be traced all the way back to the relationship she had with her mother or the lack there of. As the attachment theory says, everyone from birth has a strong desire to be attached to their mother. This connection is not really established between Antoinette and her mom, Anette.
