Review the Main Features of the Case Apotex is an international pharmaceuticals company which manufactures its medicines in various countries. However, it has recently been into news for manufacturing 'unsafe ' drugs with serious side effects. These drugs have been identified as "objectionable", or containing "repeated deficiencies" by the FDA in 16 of their 19 inspections of their drugs manufactured in India(Bruser). Apotex has a definitive stake in this situation, along with high power. Their high interest is a result from the fact that their reputation, market share, and their future are at stake due to this negative controversies. Apotex has high power in the decisions are made by their name as it can remove the drugs off the market. Also, it can voluntarily recall its drugs that contain harmful side effects. Apotex also has high legitimacy as the “harmful” drugs are causing controversies and reducing consumer confidence in their products. With the increased popularity of social media and internet, more consumers can quickly become aware of the current issues which results in high urgency for Apotex, so that their reputation is not tarnished from their recent actions. Although, Apotex has the right to sell its medicine, the potential consequence from selling unsafe drugs such as a law suit or ban, far outweigh the benefits. Therefore, it makes sense for Apotex to comply with the Health regulators if their drugs are proven to be harmful. Regardless, Apotex is still a definitive stakeholder in the
