Social justice is defined by the society as a distribution of wealth, opportunities, and privileges in a society. Hayek’s challenge emphasizes more on the government and the benefits of the government and not the society. I believe that social justice is really assisting different societies around the world and also sends awareness to people around the world. Hayek believes that the term “social justice” is a “mirage” i.e. “an illusory goal whose pursuit, moreover, can only lead to disaster”. I disagree with this because social justice is a tool, which can be used by the society to send a message to the government of a society. I believe that human right is the right that is belonged to every person and this is also a vital tool to help and assist social justice. Hayek states that social justice is a “quasi-religious” or “superstitious” notion, comparable to the “general belief in witches or ghosts”. I believe that social justice is helping out with the issues that are going on in different societies around the world. There are a lot of economic and social issues going on in the world and I believe that the only way these issues can get recognized is through social justice and human rights. For example, individuals protest for change in different ways including social media. Hashtags trend on social media when the society is trying to send a message to the government and examples of this are #blacklivesmatter and #muslimban etc. Human rights have an influence on this due to the fact that it gives the people the freedom to expose their rights and their feelings. It also keeps us up to date with whatever that is happening not just in our own society but in different societies around the world. However, I believe that human rights and social justice should be valued the same way by the society due to the fact that they have similar advantages, which are, raising awareness, providing rights to societies, reduction of discrimination
