It is because Napoleon desired to have everything for his own benefits and wanted all the luxuries. The author Orwell implied the character of Napoleon being greedy. The author also described Napoleon as a “fierce looking Berkshire boar who had a reputation for getting his own way.”(Orwell, Pg 14) By that, Orwell means Napoleon was hungry for every luxuries and wanted to take everything, not caring about others. Corresponding to Metamorphosis in which a man by the name of Gregor transforms into an insect and virtually all his human abilities were vanished; attributes like strength and vocal communication. When Gregor’s father realized his form, he took the advantage of this opportunity and took away all his luxuries and locked him in a room. The reason behind this is likewise to Napoleon’s case, greed and having the pleasure to watch Gregor suffer in isolation. It is indeed interesting that if one person gets the full power, he can completely change others life. His father threw an apple at him, which left Gregor’s back paralyzed. “Gregor's father gets the brilliant idea to chuck apples at Gregor. Not having the strongest arm in the biz, Gregor's father can only weakly lob apples at Gregor, who keeps scuttling around the room.
