Making sure that the Hazards of all the chemicals that are produced or even imported are classified and that the information is relayed to the employers and employees. This OHSA Standard is intended to address what issues are being classified to the potential hazards of chemicals in the workplace. This Standard requires chemical manufacturers to tell of the hazards of the chemicals to the employers to inform the employees to make sure they know if they had been exposed. The employees who do not produce or import chemicals, should only focus on the sections that deal with their workplace and making sure to communicate it to their employees.All employers should make sure everything is labeled and there are records of safety and data sheets available at all times. This section usually applies to the General Industry, Shipyards, Longshoring, and Construction. Having control of these different Occupational Diseases can cause breathing the air difficult. Because of the air being contaminated with harmful dusts, fogs, mists, smokes, sprays and vapors, it can cause Respiratory issues. One importance is that a respirator should be provided to each employee to monitor their health. There are different types of Respirators, ranging from the Canister, the Air-Purifier and the Atmosphere-Supplying Respirators. One thing that should be manatory in any workplace is to make sure that each employee has a medical evaluation.
