or people believe in that that thanks to martin luther king.
Lets talk about police brutality. The 4th amendment clearly states that “the right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated and no warrants shall issue without probable cause.” There is a number of situatins where police treat african americans like the enemy from 2015 to now, maybe even longer. We need need to stand against discrimination. We need to have full equality. We need to feel safe in our own country. For we are one nation, we need to fight and stand togethrer. That’s what MLK fought for, not just for stoping segragation.
I also took the time and researched our african american jobs.
With 14 million Americans out of work, the news media are reporting that discrimination against the unemployed is increasing across the country. Which simply means african americans are not getting as many jobs as they should. They are also getting laid off more than any other race. unemployment rate is more than double that of whites. While Time magazine, The New York Times, and The Huffington Post have all reported on this growing trend, they have not provided critical information on what recourse is available to victims of unemployment discrimination, nor cited the factors that put African Americans at greater risk than whites. jobs.
I want to get on the “Black lives matter” issue.
The african americans are clearly tired of the discrimination, police brutality, and unemployment. And they are fighting back. But are they doing it correctly? Is using violence the key to this problem? I don’t hink so at all. Discrimination is wrong but we must not use violence. MlK quoted “Nonviolence is a powerful and just weapon, which cuts without wounding and ennobles the man who wields it. It is a sword that heals.” If you think about it, violence has not gotten nowhere. So really words is the weapon we need to use.
I would like to include that african americans are not the only race getting discrimated. There will probably always be discrimination in the world. There are different races get mistreated because of their color and abilities. MLK didn’t just fight for african americans, he fougt for everybody that God made. There are many other heroes who faught for the same thing too. I feel like its up to us to keep the fight going until we get true
equality.
