Teladoc Inc: Financial Analysis Teladoc’s global expansion budget was developed based on project milestones and associated tasks (See Table 1.). The time value of money is the concept that money available now, is worth more than the same amount in the future due to its earning potential. If Teladoc Inc. reinvested the initial investment of $343,470 at 7 percent over 10 years, the company would increase returns on investment by $332,187, which totals $675,657. The initial expansion cost is only USD $343,470, which means that the expansion is low risk to Teladoc Inc. Furthermore, Teladoc’s expansion into the global market is projected to produce sales that reach about $2,976,925 within the first year (See Appendix-A). The sales forecast indicate that Teladoc will increase gross profit by 66% from $1,320,570 in 2017 to $3,844,775 in 2018. Teladoc’s will also generate enough free cash flow to pay off the initial investment cost of $343,470 (See Appendix C: Teladoc Inc.: Performa Cash Flow Statement (12-Month). Teladoc will gain more from expanding telehealth products to Canada than reinvesting in the U.S. telehealth

The company has agreed that this is a good move, however, if the process of setting up the equipment, managing the security and providing training goes on too long, then it will start to negatively affect the company over-all. After reviewing Newco’s product and management team, we believe that Newco will be successful, seeing as the management team has good experience in a variety of different fields and the product they developed should have high demand in the market. The founders and president have made a significant investment in the company ($400,000), which qualifies them for having skin in the game. In the statement of operations provided in the case we can see that the salaries given to the officers, sales and marketing, and wires division are relatively low, suggesting that the management team is relatively dedicated to the company. Considering the management team’s strong academic background, their dedication, and that fact that the management team does have skin in the game, we have…

The range of hours required for planning, piloting, deployment, and support would run 208-296 hours with a cost of $35,000-$50,000 in contractor fees. The architecture of this solution would require 9 to 12 weeks for a single systems architect to implement. It will require the leasing of datacenter resources in a virtual environment with variable costs depending on scale utilizing their fiber backbone to deliver content online. This is to avoid the high cost of on premise servers and bandwidth required by these solutions.…

According to the hospital’s five-year plan, an investment in capital equipment should boost the quality of services offered at the hospital. Many options of capital investments that hospital could invest in exist. However, this report recommends an investment in the MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) equipment. This equipment involves a large capital investment upfront, but it can be profitable in the end. The hospital has considered factors such as the cost of this equipment, the facilities needed, and the return on investment of the equipment. The above factors are among some of the factors that are considered when buying large capital equipment for an organization such as a hospital (Keefer, 2011).…

RhoMed has limited options in terms of financing as the cost of debt and equity are both very expensive for start-up firms without positive cash flow. However, by going this route, they are risking losing the main driver of their business - their patent. In order to value RhoMed as a whole we needed to make numerous assumptions, particularly on their future revenue streams, a huge driver for the valuation and share value, as our sensitivity analysis suggests. We believe that the revenue projections given in the case are far too optimistic. We projected our own descending annual growth rates for revenue and assumed that the firm reaches stability in 2004 and grows at the inflation rate of 3%. We estimated capex by using a constant percentage of revenue of 21% and we used our estimated capex to estimate depreciation. Based on these assumptions, the NPV for the value of the firm is about $19.5 M and with a share value of $3.45. To value the warrants we used the black-Scholes model and reached a call price of $180,915 in total or $2.63 per warrant.…
