Dominican Republic and Bolivia
During this Module 1, I have learned that Latin America refers to those countries in Caribbean island and South America that has languages is rooted in Latin. French, Spanish and or Portuguese would be considered part of Latin America. Because of Latin America, Dominican Republic and Bolivia shares the same roots of Latin and they share some similar and differences between them.
On one hand, the similarity between Dominican Republic and Bolivia is the culture life. Both of the countries shares the same religion belief in Roman Catholic however there is another belief in Christian faiths. The language is spoken in the same Spanish language.
The similarity in Latin dishes between Dominican Republic and Bolivia contains roasted pig, pork, rice, and chicken.
On another hand, the first difference between Dominican Republic and Bolivia is the geographical area. Dominican Republic is an island located on the Atlantic Ocean and encompass next to Haiti. The land has the highest and lowest elevations in the Dominican Republic. The climate is mild tropical weather. Most often, Dominican Republic has experienced the damage by tropical storms and hurricanes. The capital of Dominican Republic is Santo Domingo and the population is 10,276, 621. Bolivia is located in the western region of the South America and encompass to Brazil, Peru, Chile, Paraguay and Argentina. This land has relief and has many huge landforms that are mountains that contain numerous active volcanoes. The climate in Bolivia has experience moist air, and humid atmosphere. It has very sunny climate and less rainy than the Dominican Republic. The capital of Bolivia is La Paz and the population is 10,496,285.
As the result of the root of Latin that play important role in Latin America, Dominican Republic and Bolivia shares some similar and differences between them.
