Parole and probation departments are a part of the correctional department system. They both are alternatives to incarceration of a person. Now their job is to ensure that a person on parole or probation follow certain rules and guidelines provided for them by the department. They do this by supervising everyone who is on parole or probation. This is done by searching the individuals at any time without a warrant or probable cause as well as give them redeem drug test.
Like all agencies parole and probation departments have a code of ethics. Now one of the codes of ethics is that they will render professional service to the justice system as well as the community. They will also uphold the law with dignity, by displaying an awareness of their responsibility to
The codes tell how they must remain professional on the job as well as off the job. Now there really is not a difference in the three codes because all three deals with the officer and the public.
