In the Constitution, all people have the exact same rights no matter if they are or are not from the United States. On the contrary, the Twelve Tables has many laws that are against slaves and other non-Romans including this one from Table 10 Law 10, “The body of no dead slave shall be anointed; nor shall any drinking take place at his funeral, nor a banquet of any kind be instituted in his honor.”(The Laws Of The Twelve Tables) This is direct evidence that the ancient Romans did not treat all of their people equally. In the Constitution, there is absolutely no data that shows that women, slaves, or non-Americans have different rights than American born citizens. It evens says, in the 14th Amendment, that everyone on United States territory has equal rights as an American citizen, “No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.”(Bill of Rights and Later Amendments) Also stated in these documents is what makes someone a citizen of each
