This is accurate and still happens a lot today. I also know that this doesn’t just happen to LGBTs it happens to so many more people just because of how they look or who they are.
Another event I think is accurate is when the women went to court and became domestic partners. It was very interesting to see how the lady acted because it was like she didn’t care. I know this is very accurate at this time because gays couldn't get married. Today they are able to get married throughout the whole country, but back then they still didn’t have those rights.
I'm not really sure of any inaccurate event s because most of what I saw I know happens. I know that many people who are gay lie about their partners because it could affect their relationship with their friends and family.
One lesson that you could learn from this film is to never give up. Laurel almost gave up because she was so sick and was so close to dying, but Stacie and her partner Dane never gave up on allowing her to give her pension away.
