A vigilante is a member of a self-appointed group of citizens who undertake law enforcement in their community without legal authority, typically because the legal agencies are thought to be inadequate (Wikipedia). Vigilantes have played a major role in society from as far back as biblical times, and they still exist today. Their moral code often consists of ideas such as natural law, patriotism, and their religious beliefs; they feel that anything that stands against this code is wrong and that they need to put an end to it. On the other hand comic book superheros often justify their actions with, for example, say a superhero’s wife or daughter was killed by some evil mastermind, they will use this to justify whatever they do in the process of getting revenge on the evil mastermind. Comic book superheros even sometimes say that they fight to stop crime just because they have some moral obligation to save their city from
