What Role Does Culture Play In American Culture

I think culture plays a role in there too. Most black people I know believes in spanking their children because they believe it helps. For example, this child lost his eye while playing with a pencil because his mother decided to let him continue to play with the pencil. She tried to take the pencil away from him but he was crying for it and the child lost his eyes because the mother made the easy decision. Some parents would of spank the child and make sure he doesn’t play with the pencil again because they know the danger of it.
I 'am a young man with no children and I don't think corporal punishment is the worst thing in the world. Some parents know how to discipline while others abuse the child and that's where we need to separate the
two. For example, a lot of children would scream and say bad words because they know that their parents will not punish them for it. I compare spanking to a prison sentence because it tells the child or the criminal that there will be punishment if they cross the line.
