years The American Indian Movement also protested treating people badly or unfairly because of their race and the right to vote, to free speech, to fair and equal treatment, etc., violations against Native Americans.
What the American Indian Movement try to complete was independent power (of a country) of Native American lands and people, the preservation of their culture and traditions, and the enforcement of all agreements between countries with the united states.
Why was this movement made for?
The American Indian movement was founded to grab the attention of indian people and let them know about the renewal of interest in religion/belief in a higher power which would make the strength to resolve needed to reverse the destructive policies of the United State, Canada and other Colonialist governments of Central and South America. During the past thirty years, The American Indian Movement has organized communities and created opportunities for people across the Americas and Canada. The American Indian Movement is located and managed in Minneapolis and in many other cities, areas away from cities and Indian Nations. The American Indian Movement has over and over again brought successful suit against the federal government for the protection of the rights of Native Nations promised that something will definitely happen or that something will definitely work as described) in agreements between countries, independent power of a country, the United States Constitution, and laws. The deciding on your future and then making sure it happens upon which the movement is built is deeply rooted in traditional (interest in religion/belief in a higher power), culture, language and history. The American Indian Movement develops partnerships to deal with the/to speak to the common needs of the people. Its first order is to secure/make sure of the (getting what is wanted) of agreements between countries made with the United States. This is the clear and …show more content…
steady vision of The American Indian Movement.
The reputation of The American Indian movement has been seriously harmed for the reason of something that causes arguments between people events of law breaking, damage or destruction of someone else's property, violence, and the resulting in the organizations peak and decline within a few years. But "Aim" made The American indians raise their voice and be proud of their culture and the way they lived even though they know many of them would not survive due to the settlement of people from Europe in the western.
Today, many Indians have (ability to be picked/ability to participate) to receive government money to support/judge as correct their community.
This is done so that Native Americans can raise their families in good conditions. Very mean, unfair treatment and unfair, pre-decided bad opinions against the Indians are present but performed in different forms than in the 60's and 70's. Today, such issues like (disrespectfully treating like an object/viewing something complex as one simple thing) of Indians through sport mascot teams happen and the American Indian Movement has taken measures to take apart such unequal treatment.. However, in the last forty to fifty years or so, Native Americans, thanks to the efforts by the AIM, are still united to combat present issues. The intersections of race, class, and male/female status, are built into Native American history. Their race as "redskins" pushed many years of mass murder and unfair treatment based on skin color, age, etc. against their Indian community. In turn, the government located them on reservations, automatically placing them as lower class. They suffer hugely as a result of this. male/female status roles within their community show by using a physical object to represent an idea or emotion state where all things are equal, yet our influence causes divisions between men and women of their community of people/all good people in the world. AIM has allowed excellence over race, class, and male/female status states where two
things are not the same. The organization, based nationwide, continues to sustain the rights organized and listed in Native American agreements between countries, work for the equal treatment of native people, and preserve related to religion or the soul customs and native traditions because in their eyes, they are a culture that is worthy "of pride and defense". Such a culture that is so deeply connected through related to religion or the soul measures and togetherness deserves a chance to be heard, especially thinking about/when one thinks about the truly terrible history their people have lasted through/tolerated. Resisting negative influence, the American Indian Movement keeps at it and states on their website that, "No one, inside or outside the movement, has so far been able to destroy the will and strength of AIM's close friendship between people because of shared interests and common goals. Men and women, adults and children are continuously strongly encouraged to stay strong related to religion or the souly, and to always remember that the movement is greater than the things that were completed or faults of its leaders."
