Have you ever wondered why there are lightning and thunder? Some might say the sky is angry with us, but that’s not true. In fact, it isn’t the sky that’s angry, it’s a god and a goddess that are angry. Sometimes they can be upset, and sometimes they can be furious. The same way some storms are calm, and some, are violent. The story begins eons ago, back when gods and goddesses lived on earth and had a human form. Back when they were alive.
Long ago, gods and goddess used to inhabit this very earth. They lived lives just like us. However, unlike us, they all had many powers and virtues. Some granted life, in many forms. Some were in charge of resources like water, light, wind, earth, and fire. Some were even in charge of death. And there were also many other powers that fell into categories between those. But, there were two very well known deities, Astrapi and Keme.
Astrapi was silent but striking, and Keme was loud but gentle. And although they both loved each other very much they often got into fiery arguments. But one day, they got into an argument that changed everything.
Ever since they got married Astrapi always fantasized about having a family with Keme. However, Keme always refused. This was a common fight amongst the two.
