Trade is one of the things globalization has impacted. Before globalization it would take about two months to cross the Atlantic in the 1800 hundreds, today it takes about five hours by plane and less then a week on a ship. It has made it easier to buy things from other countries, which …show more content…
has helped the economy grow. Like it says on the Globalization reading “ The globalization of the production and distribution of goods and services is a welcome development for many people in that it offers them access to products that they would not otherwise have.” Companies like IPhone and other manufacture corporations have their installations in another country because it is cheaper for them to pay labor. A lot may argue that this is another bad aspect of globalization, but the way I see it they might be earning $10 (U.S) dollars in a week but there loaf of bread might cost 5 cents making it sustainable for people to buy products and maintain an average economy.
Globalization has also cause for immigration to be more accessible.
It is cheaper to travel now and it’s easier and inexpensive to keep in touch with your relatives from other places of the world. Many argue that because of immigration being such a big part of globalization that most cultures, and languages are disappearing, because they see culture as increasingly Americanized. Although you see American culture pretty much everywhere does not mean you will forget who you are or were you come from. I believe that it’s an individual’s choice to forget about their culture and their language. Being able to learn new languages and see other cultures is because of globalization, changing our minds on what culture and languages we want to make ours that is an individual’s …show more content…
choice.
Over time globalization has made the world into an integrated economy instead of a series of isolated economies. The more trade there is the more wealth it is creating, global trade has created more wealth then ever before and help people have a better lifestyle. The countries that are poor they can sell their labor because of globalization, which creates more jobs for the people that live there. A lot will argue that they are not getting pay as much as they would in their counterparts in rich economies, but it’s a step up for the people that live there and it may be less in the other country but it may be more then enough for people to maintain a more stable living.
One of the most powerful effects of globalization is education.
Today it is easier to get the best education you can from the college of your choice. When studying in different country then where you were born or raced, gives you the opportunity for different experiences that you would not get in your home country. Know you can go and get a specialization that is not practice in your home country, which gives you a benefit to spread the knowledge you have obtain. Being able to travel for an education has made a great impact in economy as well. When someone learns something new they can go back and show it to their home country and can become more productive and create more jobs bringing more
wealth.
Another positive aspect of globalization is improvement of quality in products. Having to satisfy the customer has been a key to having a successful business, this has made domestic companies try and fight put foreign competition. Companies are now having to exceeded customer satisfaction not only in products quality but also in customer services. With all this it creates a lot of competition within companies making their products and customer service better and more efficient.
If globalization is more bad then good, then how would you change it stop it? You cant. Globalization is a part of change if there was no globalization they wouldn’t be no progress in the world we would all be stuck in the 1800 hundreds or even further then that. Some cultures are being lost, I agree with that but its not necessary have to be that way. If we as individuals remain practicing our cultures and celebrations then cultures would not be lost. You can’t blame our own choices in globalization, when it has changed this world for the best for everyone.
