Let’s take President Clinton’s impeachment as an example, the people continued their lives, the country had just changed presidents. Though, some laws might be added and the way that the country is run (if the senate approves) could change.
Your opinion is the most important part of the affected change. We as people are the future and the continuation of this country, and if we don’t have opinions and the right to say our opinions, people take advantage of that. After all, we’re just human, we take advantage, are selfish, and use others. Once something this big happens, your opinions will change, you might be relieved that an awful president has left office or might hold a grudge for the new one. Whatever it is, your experiences, and your findings shape the way you think. This is what makes the government entitled to take your vote and opinion into consideration, everybody is different, and that is important to the fabric of our country.
The line of succession is straight forward, though keep in mind if one of the officers is not born on US ground, they cannot become president, therefor the title will be passed on to the next person in line.
