What Was The Satanic Cult
Subculture: Satanic Cult The Satanic Cult derived from the belief of Satan, a biblical figure in the Christianity religion. Satan is the complete opposite of Jesus. The Bible explains that God created Satan as a cherub, the most powerful of God’s angelic helper. Also, Satan is often referred as “Lucifer” in the Bible. He was originally created as a perfect being and described as being wise and completely righteous. However, pride caused Satan to fall. However, Satan desired to be a God instead of a servant of God, and became the leader of the fallen angels, wicked or rebellious angels that have been cast out of heaven. He managed to convince one third of God’s angels, who are now considered as demons, to join his rebellion and go against …show more content…
It was the first aboveground organization in history to openly dedicate the acceptance of Satan. Satanism is the worship Satan as God-like figure and who practice Satanism are considered to be Satanist. Between 1980s and 1990s, a panic spread through United States about Satanic cults who were supposedly engaging in sexual abuse, infant sacrifice, perverse ceremonies, and mind-control; however, no hard evidence were found to prove the rituals were occurring. During this time, a new diagnostic and criminological category emerges called “Satanic Ritual Abuse.” Satanism not only worships Satan, it also desecrates the symbols of Christianity. There are conspiracies of satanic rituals that involved horrendous sacrifices and sexual acts. However, there is a ceremony called the black mass, similar to the mass of the Catholic …show more content…
The symbols include Goat of Mendes, reverse cross, baphomet, pentagram, and Lucifer. The Goat of Mendes is an emblem of fertility and sexual freedom and correlates to the enigmatic figure, Baphomet. Baphmet is drawn with the head of a Goat, a human body with cloven feet and wings. The Baphomet is demonic deity and symbolic of Satan. Moreover, a pentagram is a five-pointed star that is formed by drawing a continuous line in five straight segments. However in Satanism, they used an inverted pentagram to represent the head of a goat. The two upward-facing points are meant to resemble the horns of a goat; the sideways-facing points are ears, while the downward-facing point is the muzzled. Furthermore, a reverse cross is widely known to be Satanic. In fact, it does not truly represent Satanism. In the bible, the up side down cross is an ancient symbol of St. Peter’s crucifixion when he was martyred because he did not believe himself worth to be crucified in the manner of his Lord. Also, the Sigil of Lucifer or also known as “Seal of Satna,” is a symbol of modern Satanist and its original purpose of the sigil was to aid in a visual invocation of the angel

Voodoo. Many may think of it is some sinister dark taboo of mystical forces, based solely on black magic or the work of the devil. Some might say that it is just another version of Satan Worship. For many just the word Voodoo itself paints a picture of bloody sacrifice, nightmarish drum patterns, evil zombies, and dolls stuck full of pins. In actuality, Voodoo is a legitimate religion. Wade Davis, who wrote The Serpent and the Rainbow, would argue that Voodoo goes so far as to be a way of honoring ancestors, and gives guidance to raising children and educating them as well.…
