When Was Zheng He Celebrated

What if somebody asked people on the street if they knew who Zheng He was? Why do people not pay attention to such a huge part of world history? Zheng He was a Chinese fleet commander and was famous for the seven voyages that he made between 1405 to 1433. His voyages should be celebrated for several reasons. Firstly, he invented several innovations in nautical architecture. Secondly, wherever he went, he was always respectful to the native people and did not expel or colonize them. Thirdly, Zheng He travelled incredible distances and had an unconceivable number of people involved. People should celebrate the voyages of Zheng He because he brought Chinese history to a completely new, more advanced and progressive level.
The first reason why Zheng He’s voyages should be celebrated is because the new technologies that he invented brought ship construction to a brand new level. The fact that in the middle of the 15th century he built the largest sea fleet the world had ever known is unbelievable. Instead, Chinese fleets did everything to support aboriginal people and to spread some new knowledge. For instance, when Zheng He arrived in Sumendala, he helped native people to solve their problem with choosing the chief not by blood ties but by personal preferences (“The Indies” 401). That happened almost in every place Zheng He visited. There were two main reasons why Chinese fleets collected so many tributes. Firstly, people realized how powerful China was in that time period to destroy or build whatever they wanted. Secondly, people just returned thanks in the manner of giving them as much goods as they
