“Who Are You? The Puzzle Of Personality” According to the Meridian Webster dictionary personality is the complex of characteristics that distinguishes an individual. Throughout Unit 2 in Sacramentality we have learned the psychological, sociological, and theological perspectives on identity. We have taken the Myers-Briggs personality test and the multiple intelligences test to determine our strongest intelligence while also learning about Freud and his definition of the human brain and personalities. We learned about the Myers-Briggs test in order to figure out who we are and learn more about ourselves and how we operate. Brian Little’s views on how humans operate furthers my understanding of Unit 2’s learning goal of understanding how humans operate from the psychological perspective. Brian Little’s perspective about human traits, characteristics, and personalities is very similar to what we have been learning. Researching the acronym OCEAN helped me evaluate what type of personality I have. Doing this test adds to my previous knowledge of my own personality from the Myers Briggs test, Freud, and the multiple intelligence Quiz, and educates me on how I can continue learn about my own personality from different perspectives. Little also mentions that we can have other traits which relate to the multiple personality quiz which tells us that we have the capacity to have multiple personalities but some are just more developed than others.
