When reflecting on personal influences in my life, no one has had a greater impact than my father. He was and continues to be a positive role model as a father, a husband, a grandfather, a devout Christian, a carpenter and an artist.…
My grandmother, Elaine Parker, inspires me in a way that few others can. She is inspiring to me is when speaks about dance, I myself am a dancer going on 11 years and she has studied everything from ballet to jazz to tap dance within a span of 20 years. Having someone in your family to push you and move you forward is one thing, but when they have experienced the same things as you…
When I used to go to his house me and my brother would ask him to tell us stories about the war. He would tell us this cool stories about how when he went to go to the war he was supposed to be in the army but asked to be in the marine she showed a letter from someone who recommended him to be in the marines and they put him in the marines. After hearing the stories that he has told me I am so grateful for all of those who have fought for us. He is very special to me and I am lucky to still have him with me today. He told me that the only reason he was still alive was because of his civilian life which he was a mechanic.…
This is a tribute to a man that has always been and will always be my mentor. His name is Alan Dale Jacobson, he is my father. He is not technically my father by blood, but he is by far the best father I could have ever asked for. I have known him my entire life as Uncle Al until I was 13 and he married my mother and our relationship went to a whole new level. He taught me many things like pride, honesty, to put my family above all things, and how to be an honorable man.…
Something that deeply inspires me is my dad. My dad passed away when I was 13 and for the first couple of year I didn’t take the loss well and was making choices that were unhealthy for me, now I realize that I should use this loss to inspire and motivate me to do my best because he is always there watching over me and I want to do anything I can to make him proud.…
He is my number one supporter, and believes in me even when I don’t believe in myself. I have been through hard situations, and my dad was the only one who never stopped loving and caring for me. He is the reason I am the person I am today, and he will always be the reason I push myself to be better. Knowing what it feels like to potentially lose someone is why I want to go into a health profession. I want to be able to give people hope and light at the end of the tunnel. Being involved in the medical field would allow me to help further advance medicine and find cures for diseases. Even though I cannot help my dad, I can work to help someone…

My inspiration to be the best person I can is because of his influence on me. The man who had been through hell and back but still had a smile on his face every time I saw him. Forced to be a man at 7, his goal was always to be successful. He reached that and supported every person he ever felt he let down. Bravery, perseverance, and endless love describe my Grandpa Robert Helmuth.…

In school, I have always worked hard and enjoyed doing so because I knew in the long run it would pay off. This initiative comes from my father and brother who have set a perfect example of how a man holds himself together and how to provide for your loved one. I believe this hard work and sense of responsibility helps my golf game tremendously for a number of reasons. I know how to persevere through the bad holes in golf or bad days in everyday life. I learned from many years of practice and tinkering with my…
All that and everything he does to this day is why he is my hero. Through everything he does inspires me to show my future children the same mindset and attitude about working. To get to college and when I’m in college and, beyond college I am going to work as hard as he did. Through everything he has helped me to do he showed me to make my dream my reality. He has and still is creating a lasting legend in my life. His work ethic has worn off on me and I will never forget…
I would like to share with you someone in my life who has influenced me greatly, my father, Fred Nameless. C. Point Preview…
The reason of that is because many die over violence, and other tragic reasons, instead he fought for not only our country but for his own families' freedom. When I and my father meet up and talk he always tells me about his military days and the sacrifices he had to make. I enjoy listening to them all the time, but sometimes the stories take another turn and it’s hard to understand all the trauma his brain and his body are taking in. How he also cannot be able to live out the rest of his life peacefully. It has definitely inspired me to be the best I can be as his oldest daughter. I pave the way not only for some of my youngest sibling’s but a few of my older siblings by going to college and doing something I love which is fashion and giving back to the people around me and also blessing my love ones. I’m becoming the person that they couldn’t be and also the person that they can be in their own individual way. I love my father and I want to make him proud of me and all of my future endeavors by succeeding and not giving up. He has open many doors for us and I truly appreciate him because I'm sure it was not easy for all those years. It would be an even greater honor by receiving this scholarship in regards to the many sacrifices my father made for this…
There are always the people in our lives that can be the heroes in many ways, but my life’s hero will always be my mom. She influences my life since I born until now and also sacrifice a lot in her lifetime to make my life and my sibling’s lives better. She love us unconditionally, I have become the person I am today because of her.…
