Who Is America's Greatest Gift To My Generation
Our founding fathers established so many critical and important building blocks for our nation that still continue to impact our lives every day so many years later. I am thankful for the beliefs and ideas they based the foundation of our Constitution on. When thinking about the biggest impact on my generation, it is difficult to narrow it down to just one or two. However, I feel that America’s greatest gift to my generation is Freedom of Religion and Freedom of Speech.
Religious freedom has long been a part of our everyday lives even if we don’t think about it every day. Without religious freedom , we could be forced into practicing a religion we don’t all believe in.The citizens may feel controlled ; they may even start a revolution or
also they might show violence in the name of a religion.My generation seems to be more accepting in people practicing different religions and believing in what they believe in.
Freedom of speech is not controversial by itself however people often find controversy when someone uses freedom of speech.Freedom of speech is a good thing however some people use it for bad,examples might be violent protest,insulting,hurting another person's feelings,insulting their ideas and their beliefs,and hateful language.That is why we have to be careful with how we use freedom of speech or we might forget how to use it for good.
