Who Is My Gpap My Hero
My hero, my Grandpap, has always been a great inspiration to me.The first time I remember meeting my Grandpap was when it was Christmas time around when I was four years old. We visited them down in West Virginia for Christmas 12/18/9 , It was really fun because we got to see many great sightings and was also the first time I found out my Grandpap was a U.S soldier in the army. He was born in West Virginia on 6/9/1945 . The main reason why my Grandpap is my hero is because he did what many other people couldn’t do, he fought for our country during the war of Vietnam. Knowing that we have a lot of heros in our family has encouraged me to join the army when I grow up to.
There are many soldiers out there currently fighting for our country
, but these are the reasons why I chose my Grandpap. One of my biggest reasons is that he went threw Vietnam and came back safe. Another reason is the he raised my dad, If my Grandpap didn’t come back from Vietnam I might not have been here today. My Grandpap has inspired me to do many great things because of the many honorable things he has done. Knowing that my Grandpap served in the army is already enough for him to be my hero , same for all of the other soldiers. Even though he service for the army is over his respect and honor will forever go in vain. That is why my Grandpap is my hero.
Every soldier that served or is currently serving in active combat should get the same amount of respect , but every family should give more respect to their soldier. I respect every soldier the same amount except for my Grandpap , who is more honorable to me than any other soldier. The reason being he has been the best role model to me. Most people say there role model is somebody really famous like a sport player for the NFL or NBA , but they need to focus on who really matters our soldiers protecting the U.S. I thank my Grandpap for his heroism , his honor , and being a role model to me.
