The poem Richard Cory by E.G. Robinson of USA illustrates that how nobody knows what’s happening in one’s life; Richard wasn’t a rich spoiled person infect his wealth completely defines his graciousness, style and modesty. Also, he was a person everybody wants to meet and spend time with him because of his perfect and involving nature. He was a role model for every man as he spread joy everywhere despite he was completely destroyed within himself. The poem Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night by Dylan Thomas of Whales exert the theme that one should fight hard to live nonmatter what loss they have been gone through so their families can spend the rest of the time with their loved ones. Similarly the Song for the Dead by Dehome of Benin Africa demonstrates that life is what we make it and how we present it in front of others. In the poem The Tribal Women by Rosemary Plummer of USA the author presented that although a woman lost her tribe roots she had still kept her head high and is proud of who she is. Much like the other poems this demonstrate the sense of pride, enjoying life and not giving up; this gives a reader to think about their own lives and taking a lesson from these stories. These attitudes and social believes has become universal and they have now become social criticism for many peoples around the wold. In the story Peace of Strings by De Maupassant from France an entire village makes a humble man’s life miserable by accusing him to theft. He tried to explain that he was only picking the string but villagers refuse to believe that why should anyone pick up a string. This is similar to the story Mario And The Magician by Thomas Mann of Germany where a family trip started from Italy and end horribly with an incident of society where an eight year old girls parent allowed their girl to bathe; an innocent act become a scandal with puts a stop on their trip this demonstrate the interplay of people and leaders; it shows the loss of freedom of the individuals will. Further, the story of The winner by Barbara Kimenye of Uganda is about an old man who won a lot of money from soccer polls but the irony is that he didn’t actually win anything as he finds out that peoples and his relatives are very greedy for money and don’t really cares about him; they are only interested in his money this realization spoiled his happiness as the people took it away from
