An innocent man served 30 years for a crime that he did not comment. They would have gave him the death penalty! An innocent would have been killed for something that he did not do. Furthermore, someone’s life is very important and extremely valuable. 30 years is an extremely long time to serve that is pretty much your entire life. False accusations are the worst thing someone could experience. Especially when you know hundred percent that you did not commit the crime, nor did you do anything wrong. Mind you, John Procter was a well-known respectable man. Even the best of the best can be accused of something they did not take part in. Furthermore, an old man by the name of Giles Corey. Giles Corey is a strong old man who has only recently converted to Christianity. Corey was crushed to death by rocks for falsely being accused of being a witch. Police misconduct is a big issue in the United States today. People are going to jail for misconduct by the police and are going to jail for being innocent. George Allen Jr. was innocent, and John Procter was innocent as well. The police should catch the real criminals and stop accusing people of doing something they did not do. Society should start investigating more accurately and invent better inventions to find the real culprits. People should fight the cause of police misconduct and have a better education so that they can stop this issue
