Hitler was born on the 20th of April 1889 in Braunau am Inn, Austria, as the son of an ordinary middle class family. His childhood was dominated by permanent conflicts with his farther, Alois, who did not allow his son to pursue a career as an artist. After Alois' death, the young Hitler suffered a lot but managed finishing sort of a basic school, however without any perspective as to his future life. From then on Hitler tried hard to earn some money by painting watercolors featuring Vienna's sights. He soon ran out of money, and ended up homeless. In those days, he lived in Vienna, a hotspot for racist ideas, influencing Hitler's attitude towards life. Added to this there was the fact that Vienna's Academy Of Fine Arts rated him unqualified for painting.
