The children of today look up to professional athletes as role models. Steroid use and other inappropriate behavior by athletes should change their positive views on them. Who would want their child to look up to someone who cheats for glory or someone who works hard for what they earn.

“Kobe Bryant was arrested and taken to court for alleged sexual assault”(Brown). Looks can be deceiving . Kobe was seen as one of the high up role models in all of sports. He ruined by sharing his outside life, Lost trust from thousands of fans. The public will never truly know Kobe because of how the media filters his life, Not everyone is perfect and people that hide their secrets and wrong doings shouldn't be looked up to. "We're really just valuing them for their skill. Nobody knows anything about Michael Jordan's values—he's worshipped because of his skill"(Paige). Jordan doesn't put food in our mouth, money in our pockets, or a roof over our head. There is no reason to sit at home worshipping him on sundays instead of going to church and worshipping the real role model. Who knows what him or any other athletes think of or what they believe in, I'm sure it's nothing that kids should be thinking of or believing in at the small age. It's better to see Philanthropists or Doctors as role models instead of athletes who play a game for a living. The values and beliefs that a kid has growing up shouldn't compare anything to someone like Kobe Bryant or Michael Vick, because raw talent doesn't define an athlete's
