Animals are dying all over America and zoos are the criminal’s behind it! Not too long ago, a Tiger was poisoned in a Nevada Zoo. The zookeepers claim they did it for the animals “own good”, They claim that it was all just a myth. Another incident, in the same Nevada Zoo, an animal was not fed and starved to death. Again the zookeepers deny the fact they did it on purpose. According to PETA, (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals), They finally came out and said, “they needed more room in the zoo.” My opinion is, they should’ve just donated the animal to another zoo or let it free. This is why i think zoos are bad.
Zoochosis. Another reason why I think zoos are bad is because these animals develop a disease called Zoochosis. Zoochosis is a disease animals get when there inside an enclosure for too long. According to PETA, (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals), Zoochosis side effects contain the following: Pacing, Ripping off their own skin, Twist their necks, Go in never ending circles, bob their heads up and down, Etc. I’ve seen many animals when i go to zoos doing exactly what's listed. I think when zookeepers see these signs they should set them free. And i know that pretty much means every animal but they don't deserve to be in a enclosure like that. …show more content…
Whales have to go about 100 miles per day to stay healthy. You’d think they’d make the tank very big for a whale but no! It's so small! For a human's Idea, think about being stuck in a 2x2 room for the rest of your life! A Killer Whale died from enclosure. The normal lifespan was 100 Years, In the cage it's 60 and under. My opinion is they can make the tank Very large or just make it so whales, sharks, dolphins, etc these animals shouldn’t be kept in an enclosure like they are and be seen from a distance not in a glass
