Why College Is Important Essay

College is an important step in one’s life. Some go community college so go to four year university. The cost for each type of school varies. Those who do go to college are worried about tons of things, but they believe that college is the foundation to whatever it is they want in life. There are many jobs that hire you with just a high school diploma but that is very slim these days. So college seems mandatory almost. One huge obstacle of college for many is how much it cost. Community colleges are approximately 4,000 per year and four year universities are approximately 32,000 per year. Most students are not able to pay this out of their so there is financial aid, scholarships, loans, or a mixture of all three. Around 70% of students leave college with type of debt. You would think education as important would leave so many students with owing for something that has become so vital. Universities should no longer be able to charge students over 20,000 per year and colleges 6,000 per year. 65% of jobs require some type of college degree. There would have to be a reallocation of funds in order for this to be successful, of course. Education is worth giving more money to and figuring out all the things that would need to happen. So will also ask well how is this national issue? Why would this not be discussed in the state constitutions? If state constitutions were to implement this in their constitutions this means that not every state will do this and that does change the tuition cost will have many students there and the ones who don’t will have fairly empty universities and colleges.
