People have never doubted or questioned why we should go to college until recently. Researchers and experts have been wondering if college actually is worth it. It may be sincere that college has very expensive costs in student loans and tuition fees, but the money and forbearance that comes from the two to four years of college, it sure is assuredly worth it. A college education is worth the expenses and costs it comes with. To understand why college is a good decision, even with the expensive price tag, humanity needs to realize why we wanted to go to college in the first place; money. According to a video called, “Is College Worth It?” by Jason Bellini, he states that a high school graduate only earns $652/week on average, while a college graduate earns about $1,300/week on average. This is very extensive because this means that a college graduate receives more than twice the amount of hard cash a week. If a college graduate has this exact salary for the whole year, and the fact that there are about 52 weeks in a year, a college graduate …show more content…
It is necessary, then, to find a certain job that is well paid and is something that you may be pleased and fond of. People should understand how much money they are going to get out of a job before working at that job. In the article, “Experts disagree whether earning a college degree is worth the expense” by Larry Gordon, a woman by the name of Mary C. Daly, senior vice-president of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, explained that, “There is overwhelming evidence that a bachelor’s degree gives people a finical leg up”. “It’s an irrefutable fact” Daly stated, “that college gives you a significant and persistent advantage decade after decade”.
