Richard Nixon, even before being elected was talking about improving relation between USSR and China. When Nixon became the president, he immediately started talking to Russia and chine in order to bring the 25 year old conflict to the end. Another wise act from the side of American government where representatives realize that diplomacy is the key to world peace and stability. The same thing can be seen from the example of Egyptian-Israeli Treaty. There were multiple wars between Egypt and Israel in the past decades and zero since the treaty was signed. It is very well portrayed how peaceful language and skillful politics can solve most of the problems in the world. However, many of you would probably argue that military is the best tool to use these days, especially in the Middle East actions. People tend to think that special operations, bombings, drone strikes will solve the problems, defeat ISIS for example. But does war really seem to have success in resolving conflicts? If we have a look at previous military interventions from the U.S.’s part, we may see that most of them fail. It failed in Iraq, it failed in Afghanistan and it might fail in Syria.
