Why Did The Big Bang Happen

The big bang happened 14 billion years ago when the universe was nothing but a small particle. The big bang was a big explosion which now we call the universe, it expanded quickly throughout the years. About 300,000 years went by and that’s when the universe started to cool down. There was two types of particles at that point matter and antimatter when they were close to each other they would destroy each other. The universe started to filled with hydrogen and helium gas. Scientists never discovered what was before the big bang. So no one knows what was before it. The universe is still expanding today.
