Why Did The US Involvement In World War I

Germany pushed too far and the U.S. entered the war breaking way for allied victory. Back home propaganda was heavily used. After WWI we went back to isolationism. These are just some of the ways the United States was involved in WWI. President Wilson's view on the war was to stay neutral. Wilson believed in creating a lasting peace between the United States and other nations. He had begun to deal with the countries economy, which was beginning to fail. Wilson saw the United States joining WWI as a sign of upsetting the countries we traded with. He also wanted to stay true to his attempt at peaceful unity.
Wilson addressed Congress for a declaration of war against Germany. German u-boats began their unrestricted submarine warfare against all ships. Four more American merchants ships were sunk which got Wilson granted his declaration of war. "On June 26th the first 14.000 U.S. infantry troops landed in France to begin their combat training." The United States also intercepted the Zimmerman Telegram. The Zimmerman telegram was Germany trying to get Mexico to enter the war against the United
