behavior, and property crimes.
Drug abuse and alcohol abuse cause potential danger to the user or even a bystander.
Drugs and alcohol cause many deaths per year. Drug death alone from overdosing or misusing drugs causes around 200,000 deaths per year. Many people get prescribed drugs for medical reasons, and that is fine, but those drugs can be misused by the owner, or sold for bad purposes. Alcohol also plays a big role in deaths per year. Excessive drinking is responsible for around 1 in every 10 deaths among working-age adults aged 20-64 years. It also causes hurt to the people around you, with abuse or drunk driving. Many people suffer abuse each year from alcohol in the family, and it can stay with them throughout their lives. Drinking and driving also causes many deaths per year. Every two hours three people are killed in alcohol-related highway crashes, so we need to put an end to
this.
Drug and alcohol use is also harmful to the community. With the pollution aspect, a good number of people obtain drugs from a pharmacy, and when they don’t finish the prescribed drugs, they will flush them down the toilet. Recent studies have found that drugs can disrupt the biology and behavior of fish and other aquatic creatures.
In conclusion, alcohol and drug usage, legal or illegal should be greatly monitored to prevent death, and provoke gang violence. Millions of people are affected by drugs and alcohol every year, and a good number of those people are killed from it. Gang violence would start to decease without drug sales and drug related crime. Also if alcohol would be monitored better, on and off the road, we could save a lot of lives, and keep people safe. If we do not monitor the usage of alcohol and drugs greatly, many more people will get affected and it will get worse over time.
