If drugs are not regulated, would you want the person driving next to you to be high on marijuana or cocaine, I didn’t think so, it would be complete chaos. Wouldn’t you want the government to regulate drugs and alcohol if you own son/daughter was a drug addict? In today’s world drugs have gone to the extreme, putting their users in danger. With the type of drugs people have access to, it would be absolutely idiotic not to regulate drug use. Marijuana legalization doesn’t mean you can buy it at Wal-Mart it is regulated. It is sold only to the people who have medical issues that marijuana could help improve their condition. Other drugs like cocaine, heroin, and ecstasy are prohibited in the United States because the harm it can do to America citizens if they got addicted would be devastating. To summarize, the government should not ban drugs and alcohol but should regulate them to a certain extent. As we’ve seen in the past prohibition did not work, it only made things worse. Like I’ve said before, alcohol should be regulated when others are put in danger, but drugs should be prohibited.
